In your prayers this month you’re invited to pray for:
– the people of Indonesia and our partner churches as they recover from recent flooding and landslides. Pray for strength and wisdom for church leaders and relief workers as they respond with practical care and the hope of Christ in the midst of devastation
– Pastor Murray and Tracy Smith who are serving at Senior Flierl Seminary in Papua New Guinea. Give thanks for their dedication to equipping future pastors for gospel ministry. Ask God to provide reliable power and water for the seminary and bless the faculty and students in their studies
– Grace Lutheran College, Rothwell and Caboolture, Qld’s partnership with SMK HKBP Sidikalang and SMA HKBP Lawe Sigalagala Tanah Alas in North Sumatra, Indonesia. Pray that these schools continue to grow together in Christ’s mission, inspiring students and teachers to live out the gospel through acts of love, justice, and hope in their communities
– the LCA International Mission Committee – Anita Synnott, Gillian Heintze, Elsa Matthias, Pastor Dan Mueller, Ian Graue, Pastor Greg Schiller, Bishop Paul Smith, and Michael Stolz – as they provide advice for LCA IM staff
– Immanuel Woden Valley Lutheran church, ACT and their partnership with and prayer for the Lutheran Church in Cambodia. Give thanks for their shared mission in Tang Krang village, where a newly renovated worship centre now stands as a sign of hope. Pray for the growing Christ-centred community there and for the pastor who has recently been ordained
– KN-LWF, Indonesia, as they celebrate 25 years of supporting the 14 member churches in their understanding of Lutheran theology, diakonia, and public engagement. Ask God to bless their work, that it may continue to bear fruit and advance God’s kingdom in Indonesia and beyond
– God’s blessing on the ministry of the Women’s Care and Counselling Centre, that through its care and compassion, many may experience restoration and the transforming power of the Gospel
